My priorities and positions
Affordability
Many of our fellow citizens can’t afford rent or to buy their own home. Healthcare expenses have become so high that many people don’t have adequate healthcare. Groceries and utilities keep increasing in cost. Quality childcare is hard to find at affordable prices. These are everyday issues that I feel our legislature is ignoring. I will work on developing solutions that include:
- Increasing the Homeowners exemption.
- Expanding the circuit breaker option for citizens on fixed incomes.
- Eliminate the grocery tax for Idaho residents.
- Revisit the tax shift from business to residential.

Fund Quality Public Education
I’m a strong believer in the Idaho constitution which states it is the responsibility of the legislature to fund a thorough fair public educational system. In 2006 Idaho Supreme Court ruled the Idaho legislature was not fulfilling its constitutional duty. Idaho consistently ranks 50 out of 50 states in our commitment to public education, including maintenance and construction of safe and efficient buildings. Public education has been one of the main drivers for community building and economic prosperity in my own family and in our state and in our nation.
I will propose and vote for living up to our constitutional responsibility for quality fully funded public education.
Public lands need to stay in public hands
I believe public land should stay in public hands and benefit all of us with recreation and hunting and fishing and picnics and spending time in our beautiful natural environment. My opponent advocates selling public lands to the highest bidder, which would obviously seal them off for the rest of us.
Protect our constitution
Our constitutions protect our freedoms and limit the power of government. I will defend the constitutional rights of all Idaho citizens. I will support policies that uphold the rule of law, individual liberty, and accountable government.
Protect our farmland and our traditional way of life in North Idaho
Agriculture is a cornerstone of Idaho‘s economy and heritage. I will support policies to protect family farms, preserve agricultural land, and ensure that future generations can continue the traditions that have helped define North Idaho for decades.
Protect our freedom of religion and protect the many blessings we have in Idaho an in our country
Religious liberty is one of our most fundamental freedoms. I support the right of every person to practice their faith without government interference. Protecting religious freedom, individual rights and strong communities preserves the values and opportunities that make Idaho and our nation exceptional.
